  I visited here for the Pop-up restaurant upstairs, run by Masterchef semi-finalist Andi Walker. If you want a truly wonderful food experience - I recommend booking this! Just £39 for 6 courses, all served to the table by the Chef himself.

  We often stop in for a drink on our way into/out of town. The beer garden is fantastic, right by the river. Inside is plush, posh Essex pub chic. Drinks are fairly pricey (watch out for soft drinks costs) and the beer selection is nothing to write home about. Not had the food but it looks alright. Beautiful old building and an outside space to die for.

  Visited for a Wednesday night pub quiz. Venue is clean and modern, staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the turn out for the quiz was poor which limited the experience. Overall pub is nice, with average food and drink prices. The food is good quality too.

  Very nice restaurant with great food at very reasonable prices given the location. Lacked a bit if atmosphere would be my only bad comment.
